Our Community Life Groups, or "Hope Groups" as they have come to be called, are discipline/medium specific groups of artists, which meet weekly at our parent church campus, Hope Chapel.
We have a stocked 2-D studio space for visual artists (3-D artists are welcomed, but currently we have no kiln to fire completed sculptures), and a coffee shop space for writers. Both groups meet every Wednesday at Hope Chapel, 6701 Arroyo Seco, Austin, TX, 78757 for a free, family-style dinner from 5:30 P.M. to 6:15 P.M., and then at 6:30-8:00 P.M. we either gather together for large group community time, or break off into our respective discipline-specific spaces (depending on the week's schedule). We do have a Drama Troupe / Performance Group which meets with us on Family Nights, but rehearses in other locations and at other times. Contact our Theater Director for more information. Our meeting schedule allows for in-depth discussion on arts and art topics, and book study every 1st and 3rd Wednesday of the month, with all artists meeting together in the coffee shop space. Likewise, on the 2nd, 4th, 5th Wednesdays we have our open creative times, where the discipline-specific artists break off to the respective places of creativity. For more questions, contact our Art Ministry Director, or fill out an "Information Request Form".
